Climate

Tunisia has a mixture of Mediterranian climate and tropical climate.

Northern Tunisia
The climate in the Northern part of Tunisia is a typical Mediterranian climate with dry, hot summers and mild winters. The temperature may reach 35°C in July and August, and up to 12 hours of sunshine per day.

Southern Tunisia
The Southern part of Tunisia is even hotter, with temperatures around 45°C and more. In the wintertime there are 5-6 hours of sunshine per day, and the temperature is about 10-20°C.

Desert regions
The desert region is always somewhat warmer. Regarding rain per year, there are about 1,000 mm in the North and as low as 150 mm in the South.
